RESIDENTIAL CARE

Residential care is long term care and support in Bedford Charter House, our residential care home. This type of care is suitable for older people, usually over the age of 65, who feel they can no longer cope in their existing accommodation. Bedford Charter House is a purpose built care home with a warm, friendly and homely atmosphere

Can accommodate up to 72 permanent residents in ensuite single occupancy rooms

Charter House is within walking distance to the local town centre, corner shops, post office, Doctor's surgeries and churches.

Moving into care can be a stressful and worrying time for applicants and their relatives. Our staff understand this and encourage visits to Bedford Charter House prior to admission to experience what we can offer. This can include respite care or day care.

My mother was very happy with her stay at Charter House, she was made comfortable and treated with kindness and respect by the staff. Her room was spacious, homely and beautifully furnished with an en-suite bathroom.

Mrs S.

I will never forget the kindness those  same carers and other members of your staff showed to me, it helped me greatly to get through a very difficult time. Charter House  stands out like a beacon in a care sector which gets too many bad reports
