 Respite Care 

Respite care is short term care and support in Bedford Charter House, our residential home for older people. The rooms are available for booking for periods of 1 day up to 4 weeks. Day Care is also available on request.

Respite Care is suitable for the following people:

  • People leaving hospital who would like the opportunity to recuperate before returning home
  • People who would like to try residential care to see if it is suitable for them
  • People who are cared for at home by relatives and friends who are going on holiday, or are unwell themselves and need temporary care and support
  • Day care for people who would like a day away from home to enjoy the facilities on offer in a caring atmosphere
