On 22nd September 2010 the MP for Bedford, Richard Fuller, visited a number of BCHA properties before attending and addressing the AGM at the Swan Hotel, Bedford.

The afternoon saw Mr Fuller speaking with Board Members and Senior Management before taking a tour around Bedford Charter House and Maydenbury House. Mr Fuller spent time speaking with residents and staff.

After the tour, Mr Fuller attended the BCHA AGM at the Swan Hotel where he was the keynote speaker for the afternoon. The AGM was also used as a launching event for BCHA's bold plans for a new Nursing and Extra Care Scheme in the heart of Bedford. Mr Fuller was quoted as being impressed the organisation, the local nature of its services and said he would fully support the plans BCHA has for the new development.
